OUTBACK Steakhouse®, one of America's most successful restaurant franchise waltzed into our neck of the woods to bring on its own interpretation of the Aussie Spirit.

Founded in 1988 in Tampa, Florida by the trio of Chris Sullivan, Robert Basham, and Tim Gannon who were inspired by the famous Australian movie, Crocodile Dundee. The founders confessed that none of them actually been to Australia! The name OUTBACK was derived from the trio's impression that Australia has a rugged, friendly and casual image, hence their philosophy of "No Rules, Just Right". The result - a friendly, casual and relaxing place that embodies the spirit of the Australian Outback - bold and exciting food flavors, excellent service and attentive staff.

In South East Asia located at the 'historical' BB Park and Bangsar Village restaurant occupies an area of about 5600 square feet and seats of 260 people. It has various sized booths and tables to suit everyone and every occasion. We open other stores in Indonesia, Singapore, and Bangkok. Historically, with over 800 outlets in the world, OUTBACK Steakhouse is actually an American outlet with an Australian theme. At OUTBACK, the walls are festooned with boomerangs, Aboriginal art prints, travel posters, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas, images evocative of the great Australian OUTBACK.

The OUTBACK Steakhouse® menu offers a variety of dishes comprising of starters, main courses, and desserts. All the food in OUTBACK is certified Halal. For starters, called Aussie-tizers and OUTBACK's signature dish, the Typhoon Bloom, which is an all time favorite starter, you can experience Bushman 'Shrooms. Other specialties promoted by this restaurant are its desserts. OUTBACK offers the customer's favorite, Chocolate Thunder From Down Under which is freshly - baked pecan brownie, topped with rich vanilla ice cream, hot homemade chocolate sauce and chocolate shavings. This is a "must-try" for "Chockie" lovers. For those who'd like to wind down with a drink or two, the bar also stocks a variety of zesty cocktails and others alcoholic beverages. Another must-try is The Gold Coast 'Rita®, which is an extra shot of Jose Cuervo® and Cointreau® on top. This is so good that even the "non-alkies" will want to come back for more!

Mr. Prasoon Mukherjee, the President Director Franchisee of OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE® had his first taste of the OUTBACK whilst on a business trip to Los Angeles ten years ago. Impressed by the 'soul' of OUTBACK Steakhouse, this veteran of the tourist, food & hospitality industry decided to bring the restaurant to South East Asia by securing the franchise for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Said Mukherjee: "In additional to dishing out quality food, service and an unforgettable customer service, what sets OUTBACK apart is community spirit of giving back to every community that we operate in. The restaurant has successfully raised funds for various charities at almost all of its venue launch night. For Kuala Lumpur, apart from donating RM 10,000 to the Malaysian AIDS Foundation's Pediatric AIDS Fund, OUTBACK will devote its opening night celebrations towards raising more funds for the cause. Among the distinguished guests present at the Charity night are US Ambassador, HE B. Lyn Pascoe, Chairman of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, Datin Paduka Marina Mahatir, members of the foundation's board of the trustees, Dato'Jaffar indot, Dato' Rosie Tan, Mina Cheah - Foong and Zainudin Ismail.
